Greetings!

This morning diplomats from the Cheerio and Spartanius trade empires traveled across the galaxy to convene at an undisclosed location to discuss Nergal politics.

At 11:51 hours a trade agreement was signed that will bring these two empires into a formal alliance.

Alliance representatives announced the following:

"Both of our Empires see a lot of good coming from this union. The purpose of this alliance is not, as many have suspected, complete, total, absolute, all-encompassing, and universal domination, but rather the intent is to promote capitalism and build the intergalactic economy of Nergal. It is our belief that all of Nergal can benefit from this alliance, but let us be clear in saying that both empires will protect each other in the case of invasion or any other aggression shown by other entities in Nergal."

He then went on to make this declaration:

"The SCAT alliance "Spartanius and Cheerio Alliance for Trading" has claimed primary trading rights for Sector 0.0 and Sector 3.3. If you are interested in trading in those Sectors please direct your tradeships to our colonies where our highly skilled extractors will fill your holds. Anyone found trading with other empires will have trade rights with SCAT revoked and will be dealt with.

When asked about the battlecruiser fleets roaming through G3.3 under Spartanius colors the representative explained that those are escorts for the newly formed trade routes in that sector. He would not comment on the recent ownership change of planet 1545.

Man, I feel really stupid in asking, but, how do you trade exactly? Is there a magical button? Or do you just set your ships in route to a planet?

Also, if we are found trading with someone else, how do you plan on "dealing" with us?

Thanks!

To trade:

Fly any kind of Cargo Ship (Harvs count, anything you can harvest with) to a world owned by someone else. Enable trade with that person in the player listing, and they need to do the same for you (It's disabled - you can't trade with people by default.) You click on the player and then click "Embargo". You will see the trade icon turn to grey from it's highlighted state.

On the player listing :

Trade:
51
No Trade:
52

In the next version of the client the icons will be:

Trade Blocked (Embargoed)
51

Trade Open:
50

The other player must do the same for you. When your cargo ship is in orbit of the players planet and you click on your ship you will see a trade icon
50

When you select the icon you will then be asked for the destination planet. Click on your planet that you are going to drop the trade off at.

Once you do this the ship (or fleet) will begin making round trips to drop off the cargo.

There should be something saying whether or not they have lifted the embargo from you so you can see who are your possible trade partners. I lifted the embargo, but until I get email confirmation I won't know when he has.

News: Sparta Trade Empire Declares War on Roshi Militant Faction

*Official Sparta Trade Empire Representative*

Greetings Nergal!
For the past two weeks the Roshi faction has been under investigation for legalizing and commissioning privateers to seek out Spartan and other race's trade vessels in the Galactic 3.3 Sector. Today the newly formed investigation troupe "Locaters of Intergalactic Extremist and Spies" finished there investigation and received confessions from two Roshi extremists that they were under official orders to bring terror to Galactic Sectors 3.3 and 3.2. It is the intent of the Spartan empire to remove the Roshi threat and bring peace to the sectors of G3.3, G3.2, and the rest of the galaxy.

Spartan fleets have departed and promise to bring justice and judgement to the Roshi terrorists!
