Will black hole\alien report also give more useful info??
I remember in the tutorial video I think, it said that you could pull your ships away in the middle of combat. Is that still true? Or the entire battle happens instantaneously?
Any ETA on when the combat notifications are going in? I'm now warring with one of my neighbors and find that I have to memorize the state of the sector when I log out just to know what the heck changed when I come back on. VERY annoying not having any indication that some outpost was attacked unless you actually go look at the system.
Also, in addition to combat reports, can we get some notification when a player you are at war with moves ships in to a system in which you have an outpost or colony?
Finally, and somewhat unrelated, the issue of combat around stars needs to fixed quickly. It is now possible for someone to park a fleet in orbit around a star in your system and be untouchable until they choose to attack a planet. This is problematic.
Now that I've finally winnowed through the 700+ bug reports, I'll be working on the battle reports today.
Originally there was an orbital you could build that would warn you of approaching hostiles. It was removed because we couldn't figure out how to implement it. I see the same issue with the request for notification of an enemy at your sun. If he moves in 50 cruisers one at a time, you might get 50 reports. If someone can propose a plan that doesn't involve me having to track every ship and doesn't result in spam or can't be abused, I'm listening.
Sun combat should work now. If it doesn't, then someone needs to tell me.
On the topic of what reports should contain, I would find the following very useful:
Oppoenents name
If there was a planet present, I would like the name of the planet, and whether it was an outpost or a colony.
