That is correct. Also, shipyards don't count toward your object limit.
Where you can have a problem is if someone starts killing your ship yards. If you don't invest in the skill that increases your ships per ship yard you can have an issue if you are running on the 10 ships per and you have 50 yards, and 500 objects, then someone kills 10 of your yards. You can't build anything but yards, and it'll take awhile to build them all back.
I guess it is so after the first shipyard is build. At this moment the attempt to build two shipyards in parallel fails with explanation: Object count failure"Quote:
