The game plays on our iPhones and iPads... might as well allow it to run our music in the background if we're not interested in the current game music. I hope this is doable, would be a nice feature.

I can't be sure, but I think I was playing once with Pandora in the background with no I game music. Worth a try.
Yeah I'm able to do this with any music app.
I just set one of my playlists to play and went in to the game and the playlist is running fine.
Or do you mean you want to be able to open you playlist and change songs from within the app?
