The servers are back in service
The servers are down due to electrical work being performed. They should return to service in a few hours.

The servers are powered up, but I still have to fix all the configuration files for the new subnets.
The machines are still sitting there on the floor. I'm busy building a house so I haven't had time to get the move finished. Soon.
Due to a scheduling conflict, I've had to move up the server relocation date. The servers have arrived at the new facility, but they are not installed yet, since they weren't expected to arrive until...
The servers will be down the weekend of November 30, from around 12:30 Saturday to 21:00 Sunday evening while we relocate them to a new facility.

We've moved the zarksoft domain to a dedicated server. This should finally fix the Error 500 issues that have been plaguing us.
It's paused. I was maybe halfway through the server update when I had to go on medical leave. Essentially I can't code for now, but I'm hopeful that I'll be back in the office in September.
I don't know about impossible but improbable. Researcher still wins too easily I think.
The client is out of date with its current db, but I think it's playable. Still some issues to work out, but playable.
I've been wondering about that myself. I've been meaning to look into it and see if you could PK yourself to make up for any missing kills.
I don't think there was ever more than a hundred-odd players in a single game. There's a dozen or so who currently play, but not in every game.
No, there isn't any kind of change log. That would imply we had some sort of organization. I would say the main thing is we threw away the original combat system and instituted a quite different one....
Well I don't have a breakdown, but you get points from colonies dropped, not just what you have left at the end. As well, high-end skills count for a lot and so does having explored all of the center...

Well right now I'm working on some of our backend software, upgrading them to support some of the changes that will be coming in the future. I've also been fixing combat bugs in the current server....
Lost another Seagate drive just now. Drive is being replaced as I type this. Rebuild to follow, etc. etc.
I've patched all the servers just now to fix a few issues.
