I guess it's one of the many things we'll hafta figure out after launch. I hope we can get the wiki updated once the game is out, I'm no fan of the lack of info. At the same time, we truly have an entire universe to discover and document as we play.

I'll just say the universe is not a safe place... there are things, and places best left alone till your empire is strong enough... If something happens to a ship it might not be a good idea to send another one to that same place for awhile.

1370 players, 13,000 planets, 90,000 sectors, 70,000 Aliens, and a few artifacts... or so legend has it...

Tomorrow night the first live game will spawn, and you'll be able to find out what's out there... space is a big place, where no one can hear you scream, and revenge is a dish best served cold...

Has anyone encounter an artifact already? How does it look like?

My guess is it'll be a handful of weeks before anyone has any fleets scary enough to survive in a sector aliens and presumably artifacts are located
Also, be mindful of black holes

Black holes are nasty. I've lost colony ships worth 120k ore in the beta in black holes and that hurt bad. You can learn a skill to see black holes on the map and travel through those sectors with no ship loss.

I've lost a few probes to Black Holes, but thankfully nothing as expensive as a Colony Ship!

I do not have access to the training server and wiki does not say much about artifacts. It says that I can win when I get 13 artifacts. Could anyone shed some light where I can find them and how do you I recognize them and search for them?
