As soon as you've researched a tier 6 research item I'd imagine.
It's just not fun at all. It's part of the reason on Ninhursag that I stopped trying to trade and went with conquest instead. That and the inconceivability of actually GETTING all of the trading...
This has already been discussed elsewhere. The reporting for the progress tab is broken so it shows you at 0/12, but the game actually DOES track how many you've created and you will win when you...
Only your first 10 shipyards add to your max object count, after that any more you build are only for the ability to build stuff at those planets requiring shipyards.
I would guess so, assuming you explore the system after they create said black hole. Dunno if having explored it before would cause it to show up once they converted it.
It's not that researcher is the quickest, it's that researcher is the ONLY spec that actually can win right now. Trader takes an impossible amount of traded ore to win, far far more than anyone will...
I've noticed the same issue, had terraformers that weren't actively terraforming but when I give them move orders, nothing happens, they just continue to sit there. Haven't tried moving to an empty...
I'm guessing the animation continuing is just a visual bug in the same vein as the fact that combat animation will frequently continue at a planet long after the combat is actually complete.
That's actually incorrect, if you scrap a ship/orbital at a colony (or maybe an outpost, haven't tried), you get 1/3 of the resources for it back. I don't remember if I was scrapping ships or...
I see no player on Ninhursag named Vanderbilt. I was indeed using that naming for a lot of my homeworlds, but I've only lost 2 of them (one of them was indeed Homeworld 8), and that wasn't until...
Only the first 10 shipyards increase your max object count, any after that are only to allow you to build stuff from the colony that require shipyards to build.
Apparently the progress display is bugged. You have to actually destroy the homeworlds with a planet killer for it to count, capturing it with other ships doesn't work, just has the display bugged...
The limit isn't actually on how many shipyards you can have, only on how many increase your max object count. Only the first 10 shipyards you build increase your object count (10 per shipyard, plus...
At least losing everything that was being built by factories isn't nearly as bad as losing complete servers (though if anyone had shipyards almost done it'll suck to have to start em over). But yah,...
IIRC it's 30 seconds. That applies to both, so 30 seconds to load from the source planet, 30 seconds to unload at the destination.
You won't. If you play unregistered, it only works for that...
It's actually more than a free month at this point. They're setting everyone to free mode until things are working right/changes go in.
It helps that warlords and traders can't win right now :P
The impression i got was that black holes work, just reports in wrong in the Progress bar. Has anyone collapsed enough stars to meet the victory condition to see? Id agree that i doubt a warlord win...
Good to know, thanks :)
I'm all for working on coding instead of looking into missing ships or weird combat results (especially since combat is changing), but some input on victory conditions would be nice.
I saw that. My worry was just getting a bunch of angry people who pick it up and pay for it then start ranting or leaving bad reviews because of known issues. Either way, we'll see. Looking...
Oh, I understand that, and it makes sense for some things. For instance the trader win conditions - it'd be hard to test and balance correctly with only 20-30 players in a beta test. That's one of...
Another idea: It might be worth removing the subscription fee for new players for now so more people don't come in and pay 2 bucks then get pissed off if something else happens down the line before...
Well, it's always possible it IS just a visual bug that didn't get fixed yet. I hadn't quite gotten to the point on Atargatis of actually trying to trade with anyone (same on the new server).
