Trade Steps

I am going to try being a trader next game and wanted to double check the trading steps.

1. Move harvester to partner planet.
2. Select trade button
3. Next, set destination planet.

Can only have one trading ship from one planet to another.

Am I correct?

Question:
If set up new routes with same partner we use the regular harvesting
commands? We only have to send it to to the partner's planet first time?

Harvesting commands do not do trading, your ship will fly there and back without any gain.
Best trading is with players colony planet from your colony planet. If you find a post "confused about trading" it had a lot of very useful information and formulas about trade runs that will get you up to speed.
