I was just wondering if anybody else had used this technique, build outpost ship, fly outpost ship to neighbors system, proceed to take over all of his outposts with your outpost ship. This is only really useful in the first day or two of a server after that destroyers are going to be available and outposts should have protection. But that first day or two you can really slow down a close by neighbor. Maybe frustrating them into giving up ( inser evil laugh ) and freeing up some room for you!
Just set to hostile and that does not work as I recall.
Yeah it looks like outposts have some protection now. Just tried this trick on one of the newer servers and my outpost ship went BOOM! Guess that will teach me. Time to take in some combat ships here in an hour or so when training finishes. Anyone know what kind of defense the outposts now have since they have 0 population?
