It sounds like you guys have already figured out a way to set it up with an autogenerated username/password etc, but could it be set up to just use a Game Center ID for people that didn't want to register separate? Thinking just using the GC ID, not the rest of the game center functionality, but then it might be possible to set it up so it can potentially be recovered.
Sadly they are separate processes. There is no way for our servers to talk with the GC servers. It would be nice if there was some kind of a centralized Apple log in process that we could use. It would have certainly made our lives easier.Originally Posted by VanderLegion
I was just thinking of using the GC ID for the username essentially, since you can access that if the user is signed in without using the rest of the game center multiplayer stuff, then having it autogenerate a password for your servers. That way it could be possible to set up a way to retrieve the password if you're logged into your game center account after having wiped and restored your phone, or bought a new one, etc. Though I suppose there could be people out there who don't want to create an account for your guys' server that also don't use game center...
